Perhaps you can help???

Tonight we watched Men in Black for really no great reason other than Sean and I both watched it when we were pre teens and it was good then...so we figured we would share that with our girls.

So here's the question... What are the (clean) movies that you enjoyed in the 90's??? I remember that we had some at our house that were pretty squeaky but I am at a loss as to what they are now... Here are the few I can remember that I think I want them to see...

-Free Willy(Sean is MAJORLY protesting this)
-Dennis the Menace(HEY MR. WILSON!!!!)

HELP!!! What are some more???

Little Rascals was a good one. That was on the other day but we just saw the very end of it.

Ummmm.... Home Alone, Casper... That's all I can think of for now.

I went here to get an idea of what family movies were made then:

Also, it kind of depends on where your convictions lie on what would be acceptable. Some of the ones from that listing that we love are:

Free Willy {all of them}, Stuart Little, Santa Clause, Toy Story 1 & 2, Elmo in Grouchland, Madeline, Prince of Egypt.

I remember loving Curly Sue, but haven't seen it in so long that I can't vouch for the content. I remember my brother loving the Mighty Ducks series & TMNT. I know My Girl is a classic, but am not sure if the themes are too grown up for your kiddos.

What about Hook & the Parent Trap too?

Here are some movies that you'd think would work but totally don't. You shouldn't let your chalupas watch these:

1. Cool Runnings - First, nobody can understand those Jamaicans. They could be saying anything about anybody. Second, that sled is shaped like a phallus.
2. All Dogs Go To Heaven - If this is true blame Noah, he let the dogs out.
3. D2: The Mighty Ducks - "The quack-attack is back jack." equals "I just did some awesome mushrooms Goldberg." Also frequent use of the nickname "Cake eater". What does that mean?
4. Little Big League - The story of a kid that inherits a pro baseball team, makes himself manager cause he's that smart, then falls asleep in the dugout during games because he was up late in the hotel watching Night Nurses from Jersey. Check it again, that's the plot.
5. Aladdin - Lots of ethnics. Plus at the end Jasmine pretends to be in love with Jafar to distract him. Toying with a man's emotions isn't funny. It's like middle school all over again. Also I think there were WMD's in their palace.
6. Rookie of the Year - It's about the Cubs. It shouldn't be okay to fail every year for 100 years. Also when Rollenfruiter slaps the doctor the doctor screams "Funkybuttloving!"
7. The Parent Trap - Both the old one and the newer one. Children are supposed to honor their parents not trap them in anything. The newer one has Lohan, cute at the time, but you could tell...
8. Toy Story - Tim Allen is a felon. Tom Hanks was in the Da Vinci Code.
9. The Sound of Music - A complete lack of respect shown for authority. Whatever you'd say about the Germans, and clearly they had problems, they were the ones in charge. What kind of message does it send? If you don't like something climb the Alps and flee to Switzerland? Lots of singing too.
10. Hook - Total body image movie. Old guy has his left hand eaten, okay that's legit, but he wears a long wig and is obsessed with aging, and Surprise, he's the villain. The message of this movie is everybody should hate themselves, and the producers knew it. Why else do you think they tried to make amends by having Peter leave that little tubby kid in charge? And don't get me started on Smee, he's gayer then the volleyball scene from Top Gun.
